Role description

Cat Care/ Cleaning volunteers are needed for our various satellite adoption locations. These volunteers help with basic cat care and cleaning of the cages and/or free-roaming feline rooms within these locations. Each location’s set-up varies, but duties generally include giving fresh food and water, scooping litter boxes, cleaning cages, washing dishes, etc. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to spend one-on-one, direct time and contact with cats. Volunteers at our off-site locations are encouraged to spend time socializing with the cats once all cleaning and feeding duties are complete.

Role Requirements

• Must be able to bend and lift up to 30 pounds

• Must be able to kneel on the floor as needed

• Experience caring for/handling cats is strongly preferred

• Compassion towards animals

• Must be able to work along side store staff, other volunteers, and visitors

• Reliable transportation

• Must be able to commit to a scheduled shift
