INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 
 
(1) PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN
(UNPAID INTERNSHIP)
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Works with Founder of Organization to develop and implement a public relations campaign for Ten Lives Club Cat Rescue
  • Assist in improving community relations and liaison with media and radio communications.
  • Promote and advertise fundraising events
  • Enhance Ten Lives Club public image
  • Assist with miscellaneous tasks associated with animal rescue
Education/Experience Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • College degree in public relations, or equivalent experience, or enrolled in public relations/marketing curriculum
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid NYS drivers license and reliable source of transportation
  • Animal welfare knowledge or willingness to know
  • Able to work irregular hours including weekends from time to time

(2) OFFICE ASSISTANT 
(UNPAID INTERNSHIP)
 Primary Responsibilities
  • Works with Director of Operations and Founder of Ten Lives Club
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Able to use power point and poster creation (strongly desired)
  • Answering phones
  • Sorting and filing
  • Simple projects
  • Organizing and maintaining office filing system
Education and Experience Required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • College or equivalent experience
  • Excellent customer service skills a must  

Position Requirements

  • Valid NYS drivers license
  • Must love being around animals

(3) ELECTRONIC MEDIA INTERN
(UNPAID INTERNSHIP)
 
  Primary Responsibilities
  • Works with Director of Operations to develop and implement web based materials promoting adoption of individual Ten Lives Club animals
  • Assists in the photography of animals, incorporating design elements to enhance photos
  • Produces short videos as directed by the Director of Operations, to promote specific animals, volunteer positions, and other aspects of Ten Lives Club
  • Assists in clerical tasks such as posting photos and/or animal descriptions on the Ten Lives Club website.
  • Assists with light cleaning tasks between photo shoots as needed. 
 Education/Experience Required 
  •  High school diploma or equivalent required
  • College course and/or experience related to photography/media
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office program and basic computer skills
  • Valid NYS drivers license and reliable source of transportation.
  • Animal welfare knowledge/experience preferred
