GRAND OPENING DAY!
Sunday, June 3, 2007
We all had a great time and thanks to all
those who helped get the shelter ready
for thisevent - you all know who you are!
Many, many of us were at the shelter day
and night to all late hours trying to make it
purrfect for the event which came upon us
way too soon - thank you for these efforts as
we certainly pulled it off! I could name dozens
of you who helped clean, renovate, do errands,
help out but I would be afraid to miss out on one
single person as so many pitched in to make this
grand opening happen.
Around 200 some people showed and the ribbon
cutting ceremony and tributes were very nice and
touching. We really put on the spread that day!
Probably next time we will have such an event will
be our 5th anniversary at the shelter so we still have
some time to rest.
Our vision and dream has been realized and no
stopping us now! WE ALL MADE THIS HAPPEN NO
MATTER WHAT YOUR ROLE IN TLC - we all deserve
kudos for what we have achieved for the cats out
there! This shelter now will stand forever...for our
grandkids to run someday and the future generations!
Rope the young in now so we can all retire very soon...

We have a beautiful plaque on the shelter entrance wall where we have 60 name plates. We hope to be able to get 60 people to donate $1,000 or more for their name, their business/company, name of a loved one listed or a pet listed so we can fill out 60 name plates - if so that is $60,000 raised for TLC and can pay off the shelter mortgage. Please get the word out and try to help us out here! This wall hanging will stand forever in the shelter to show all those who made our shelter start and on it's way to be a success.
